It's Her Birthday!!

Our favorite daughter in the whole world turned 6 today.  She has been anxiously awaiting today for about a month now and if you ran into her over the past few weeks, I am sure you know that she was going to turn 6 and get her ears pierced.  Our day started out with a Pinkalicious Pottery Party at Making Memories.  One of Bryson's favorite stories is Pinkalicious.  Our neighbor, Karen Bradley of http://www.cakebelieve.net/  made her cake.  We had no idea what it would look like.  I just gave Karen the name of the book and told her to "do her thing."  We could not have been more pleased!!!
At school each year, we have Children's Book Week.  One of my best friends and coworkers made me and Bryson Pinkalicious shirts 2 years ago for the Book Parade.  What a perfect time to wear the shirts again!

Many of Bryson's friends came to the party and each one picked out a piece to decorate.  They will fire them and deliver them to us and Bryson will pass out the finished product to her friends!

Uncle Carey and Kim decided to let Brett decorate a tile.

But he ate the paintbrush instead!

Kim decided to paint his hand for a handprint.  Brett thought that was funny!

The boys had to take a break!
Next, it was time to sing "Happy Birthday" and eat cake and ice cream!

Brett wanted to blow out a candle too so Uncle Carey and Kim lit one for him too!

The cake was sooooo good!

Bryson got so many nice presents for her birthday!!  Thank you to everyone that was there!

Brett was worn out and had a good time too.  His friend Cole came to the party!

Now, for the BIG event of the day.....the ear piercing!!!  Bryson invited her whole party to go with us to Merle Norman to get her ears pierced.  She was nervous, but excited!!  Grandmomma and Grandaddy, Anna, Sarah, Ella, and Emma went with us.  Bryson held on to her ladybug pillow pal that Blake gave her.

First, they cleaned her ears....

Then they marked them.....

Here it goes.....She just about bit the nose off the ladybug!

She did it!!!!  So brave...not even a tear!  Isn't she beautiful???!!!  Grandmomma and Grandaddy bought the earrings to pierce her ears and Grandmomma Jeanne and Papa bought her first set of pearl earrings.  I don't even have a set of real pearl earrings!!!

And the friends that watched her.....

Happy Birthday Bryson!  We love you and are so proud of you!!!
