Trick or Treat!!!

It's God's Gift to Women, Pinkalicious and the Cowboy!!!!  Happy Halloween 2010!

We got dressed early to go see Grandaddy and have fun with him.  Jazzie went too!  Blake put his bow and the witch's hat on Grandaddy!!

I love this picture.  Can you tell that Blake LOVES his Grandaddy???

Trying to get everyone to cooperate at the same time was a feat...but I think we finally got some good ones!
After a much needed nap, we went to Grandmomma's to Trick or Treat!

Then it was off to our own neighborhood to trick or treat with friends.

Blake and Noah.....I'm thinking senior yearbook pic!!!  Barb helped us with the boxes.  Thank you Barb!!!  These boys love you!!

The group!!!

This was my favorite picture of Brett.  Now it is off to get my kids off the sugar high and to bed at a decent time tonight for school tomorrow!!!!

Blake's First Deer

Rick kept telling him that it was going to happen this year....he'd shoot his first deer.  Apparently, Rick is "jinxed" according to the guys at the hunting club.  He never sees a deer.  So, Jimmy offered to take Blake into his stand and Rick hunted alone.  Blake could not keep his eyes open and fell asleep several times in the tree stand.....until.....Jimmy saw it and woke up Blake.  Blake shot it twice.  It was a 3 point.  The usual ritual of putting the deer's blood on the face took place and these are the pictures to prove it.  Hunting is not my thing but it is a big deal to Blake and his Daddy.  I am proud of him, but not proud enough to eat the meat!!!  This was one TIRED, smelly and nasty hunter when he got home.  I don't know who was happier....Rick or Blake!

Boone Hall Plantation Pumpkin Patch

Fall break started on Wed., Oct. 13.  On Thursday, Grandmomma and I took the kids to Charleston to see Brant and visit the Boone Hall Plantation Pumpkin Patch.  I had everything packed and ready, except for the camera which I thought I had packed, but left on the kitchen counter.  I was soooooo upset.  I can't stand to go anywhere without my camera.  The pumpkin patch had disposable cameras for $3.  I figured that was better than nothing.  The pictures did not turn out as bad as I thought!

Love this picture!!

Feeding the goats

Mom and the kids on the Hayride

The Giant Jumping Pillow

We also went through the Corn Maze.  Later that night, Uncle Brant took Blake to Fright Nights at Boone Hall.  They went through the Haunted Mansion and the Haunted Hayride.  Blake was so excited.  I got a text from Brant before they went in.  It said, "Next to go in.  A kid Blake's age just ran out the entrance white as a ghost and crying.  Blake's expression has changed completely."  He made it through, but apparently the hayride was much worse.  Blake said that a chainsaw touched him on the leg and when he finally put his leg down, a hand grabbed it!!!  He was talking tough when he got home but apparently it was a little more scary than he originally thought!!!
