Horse Show #2

Two weekends in a row with the horses!!  Today's show was at Echelon Farms in Guyton.  Bryson only competed in one division with Suzette.

14!  I can't believe it!  Next year he will get his learner's license! Scary!

 

It took some begging and then some threatening to get this picture.  The first one looked like this...

Brett picked out the monkey balloon and Bryson picked out the #1 balloon.  We went out to eat at Longhorn's and then had cupcakes at home and opened gifts.  An Abu Garcia Silver Max fishing rod, GA clothes and money was just what he wanted and needed!

Brothers

Brett worships the ground that Blake walks on.  If he had known that Blake curled up next to him, he would have been soooo excited!

Horses

This post is long overdue.  As you know, Bryson absolutely LOVES horses or any animal or baby!  She took lessons and went to camp for a few years at Faith Equestrian but her teacher moved to a new barn.  We really lucked out and found Lucerne Farms right down the road.  Toni Nicholson is the owner and gave her a few lessons before turning her over to Madison Daughdrill.  Bryson has learned so much and seems to be quite the natural! 

Last weekend, she participated in her first Horse Show.  It was at Deep Sigh Farms in Seabrook, SC.  This was quite a new experience for us.....getting the horse to the barn, then practicing, then bathing and taking care of the horse.  The horse that Bryson shows is named Suzette.



 It was a muddy day, but Bryson did so good!

 And of course her Daddy.  By the way, Bryson told Madison that she was "still working on getting my Daddy to buy me a horse.  He would be the one that would get it for me."  We shall see....

 And all of it paid off!  Bryson won 1st place in showmanship, 2nd in model 3rd in equitation, 3rd in hunter, 1st in pleasure and 2nd reserve champion!!!!!

Look at this sweet thing! Brett was listening to music on the IPad and wanted Bitsy to hear the song so he shared his earbuds with her!

Bryson's first horse show is in a few weeks.  Her clothes came in today and of course she had to try them on.  I think she fits the part perfectly!

Swimming with the horses

Madison invited Bryson and Aubrie to spend the day with her at the barn taking care of the horses.  They ended the day taking them to the pond and swimming with them!  Bryson said it was the best day of her life!
