I will not win the Mother of the Year Award

Blake has been complaining that his knee hurts for the last 3 weeks.  We chalked it up to growing pains, but he continued to limp and complain about it every afternoon.  Being the active boy that he is, he has continued to play.  After three weeks of complaining, Rick took him to Urgent Care and they xrayed his knee.  The doctor said that he had some fluid on his knee- give him ibuprofen, rest, and a knee brace.  On Tuesday, Blake went to baseball tryouts and came home writhing in pain.  To make a looonnnggg story short, Grandmomma and Grandaddy took him to Dr.Ben who said that he had a torn ACL.  He was sent directly to the orthopedist who says that it is either torn or loose.  Blake will have an MRI tomorrow to determine the damage and decide if he will have to wear a brace or do surgery.  I feel so bad that we did not realize how bad his knee really was.
