Here they are on Northpole.com. Blake is trying really hard to convince me ( and I think himself) that there is a Santa Claus.
Here's how it all began:
Rick said to me the other day, "You know that Blake does not believe in Santa anymore?"
Me (horrified): "NOOOOOOOO, how do you know?"
Rick: "Well, he told me the other night at the hunting club that he knew that the parents were really Santa. I told him that he better believe and he better not tell his Momma that he did not believe."
Me: "WHAAAAT???? You didn't try to convince him that there really is a Santa?"
Rick: "No, Kellie...he's 10."
Needless to say, I fussed and fussed at Rick and told him that he had to convince Blake that there was a Santa. Later, I told Blake that someone told me that he no longer believed. He really tried to play dumb with me and convince me that he does. Later, he fussed at Rick for "busting him out to Momma." Since then, he swears that he does believe and I have given him some major guilt trips. He is watching me so carefully...checking the car, looking to see where the elf is and if he has moved and making not so subtle hints about what Santa does. I am definitely on my P's and Q's right now trying to stay on top of things.
Even if he knows the truth, I don't want to know. It will break my heart. I would just rather keep things like they are. I never want my kids to lose the spirit of Christmas!! We'll see what happens.....
I love the magic of CHristmas- I hope Blake believes for as long as possible! I'm so glad my kids are still "littles" and still have many years of Santa ahead of them!
