Dear Brett,
Two years ago today, we were blessed with the sweetest little boy EVER!  Robert Brett Lee was born weighing in at 7lbs. 13oz.  You had the sweetest smile and captured our hearts immediately.  Your brother and sister were anxiously waiting your arrival, as well as both sets of grandparents!  Over the last year, you have amazed us at how quickly you learn- some good things and some bad things (from Blake and Bryson).  Your hearing has improved into the normal range and you no longer have to wear hearing aids.  For that, we are so grateful and consider it a miracle.  You have become very independent and get upset when things do not go your way.  Those blue eyes could charm the birds right out of the trees and your sweet voice when you say, "Pweease" just about gets you anything you want.   Those curls get curlier as the humidity rises and you look just like your Dad.  In fact, Dr. Ben said that he hoped that we were putting names on pictures because you and Blake look so much alike we would get confused.
This year, you learned to swim under water, walk, run, share, and do a lot of talking.
We are looking forward to the next year that will be full of laughs and adventures.  Hopefully, you will be able to stay out of the hospital and be safe this year.  You are so sweet and loving.  When I ask you who you love, you instantly say MOMMY! but Daddy walks in the door and gives you a hard time so you say DADDY!  It's okay!  We know you love us both and we both love you to the moon and back.  We thank God for allowing us to be your parents.  You are already making us so proud of you and we love you so much!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy
