Christmas Eve at Grandmomma and Grandaddy's

This is the Christmas Eve dinner table.

We had delicious chicken chowder in bread bowls and salad.  I know that the chowder is delicious because I have had it before, not because I got to sit down and enjoy it tonight!  We had some VERY excited children who could not wait to open presents!  After we swallowed our meal, the fun began!

Grandmomma had recorded the story of "The Night Before Christmas" and read it to the children.  It is a really neat Hallmark book that will be a keepsake forever!

Brett had enough in the middle of the story and got up and walked away!

Uncle Brant gave Blake a World Cup Soccer ball.......

Bryson skates,

and....

Brett a very noisy Cars ride on toy!

Brant also made Dad a VERY special frame with a picture of him fishing.  It even is equipped with a Big Mouth Billy Bass Fish that sings the most obnoxious song and does not stop until you remove the batteries.

All of the kids racked up!  Blake got a pogo stick which he absolutely loves.  He has pogoed all over the place!

Even Brett tried it!

Blake also got a Fur Real Monkey, books, and another Guiness World Book of Records.  I love the books he got.  Do you think they will help him?

Bryson got a Fur Real Kitty, a CD player and some Fancy Nancy books.

Brett got some blocks, a book and a basketball goal.

The most wonderful gift of the night was a set of Amazon frogs for Blake and Bryson.  Grandmomma has taken care of these frogs for a month!  Even Uncle Brant had to track them down because they did not arrive in time.  Thank goodness for a Fed Ex Uncle!!  Each of them have 2 frogs and are very excited!

Santa Claus is getting close to our house.  Bryson and Brett are fast asleep.  Blake is still hanging on by a thread.  Blake lost 2 teeth last night and another one tonight.  This must be the age when the molars start coming out.  We are a little bit concerned that the Tooth Fairy might get scared of Santa.  The reindeer food is out, cookies annd eggnog are by the fireplace.....Santa will be here soon!  Goodnight!
