Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Brett!

One year ago today, one of the sweetest little babies was born: Robert Brett Lee.  In the last year, he has brought so much joy to our lives and his older brother and sister absolutely adore him!!  We can't believe how fast this year has flown by!  Today, we celebrated Brett's 1st Birthday with lots of family and friends.  At one year old, Brett is now walking across a room, saying "MaMa, DaDa, Bye Bye, Hey, Woof Woof, Quack Quack, and car."  He is crawling everywhere and has a temper when things do not go his way.  For the most part, Brett is a very laid back easy going child who smiles and babbles all of the time.  Brett shakes his head no when he does not want something.  He holds his hands above his head to show that he is "So Big!!"

For Brett's 1st birthday, we had a cake with a duck on it because he "quacks" at everything...even the dog!  Our neighbor, Karen Bradley at http://www.cakebelieve.net/ made his cake.  I was thrilled with the way that it turned out!
Bryson helped me decorate to get ready for the party!
Uncle Brant came in from Charleston:
And all of the Grandmammas and Grandaddies were there too!
The BIRTHDAY BOY!
Lots of friends came to Brett's party!
Mrs. Ivy, Brett's "other Momma" came to the party with Taylor and Katie!  When Mrs. Ivy is around, no one else matters, not even his real Momma!  Mrs. Ivy takes such good care of Brett while we are at work and Brett loves her to death!!
Time to eat (and smash) the cake!
Now...the fun part!  Time to open presents!
Uncle Brant gave him a corn popper!
And Uncle Carey, Kim, Regan and Kyndal gave him a drum set.  Have you noticed how the uncles gave him the noisy toys??  Payback is wonderful!
Brett showed us how he could walk!

It was a loooonnnnnggggg day for Brett.  Once he went to sleep, he crashed and so did  Midge, the dog!
He woke up and crashed again on his Daddy's chest!
Happy Birthday Brett!  You are such a blessing to us and we love you more than you will ever know!
