Visit with the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt and Dinner at Grandmomma and Grandaddy's

WOW! We had a busy day today! We started off the day going to visit MaMa. She was happy to see us and then strolled on her merry way!

After that we went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny! Brett seemed so excited and wasn't scared at all!


After a little nap at home, we went to Grandmomma and Grandaddy's for dinner and an egg hunt! Blake and Bryson had fun hunting eggs and Brett had fun playing in the Easter grass!





Sone of the eggs were REALLY high!


After dinner, Blake and Brett attacked Uncle Brant!

Grandmomma Jeanne bought the kids matching outfits from Ragsland! Don't they look cute?? Do you know how hard it is to get 3 kids to look at the camera and smile??.......VERY HARD!

Dyeing Easter Eggs

We dyed Easter eggs at home. There is just something about dyeing Easter eggs that is exciting! I love the colors and all of the different things that you can do with them! Blake and Bryson had a great time dyeing eggs! We did the traditional egg dye, tie dye and painted some!




Even Brett managed to get into the Easter spirit and found an egg with his name on it!



We are officially on Spring Break now and have a busy weekend planned with Uncle Brant....another egg hunt, egg hatchery, and visit to the Easter Bunny!!! More pictures to come. Happy Easter!!

Church Egg Hunt and Sunday Pictures

Yesterday we went to the church Easter egg hunt. It was only for children up to Kindergarten so Blake did not get to go, but Bryson and Brett did. They had a Teddy Bear parade:

While this was going on, Brett sat patiently in the grass with an Easter egg while his mother took TONS of pictures of him!!!

This morning, Rick snapped a few pictures of us before church!

Mile and 5K Run

This morning, Blake and Bryson ran the mile run in Springfield. Uncle Carey ran the 5K. Blake got the form in his bookbag several weeks ago and was so excited!!! Last night and this morning at 7:00, his (and his daddy's) attitude was totally different. Neither of them wanted to go and were fussing about getting up so early on a Saturday morning!! It was cold but the weather was beautiful! Blake got at the front of the lineup and was ready to go.

Bryson got at the back if the lineup and quickly decided that she was not going to run by herself. Since she has Uncle Carey COMPLETELY wrapped, she quickly convinced him to run with her!!!

7 minutes and 50 seconds later, Blake come running in! He did GREAT!!

About 10 minutes after the race began, Bryson and Uncle Carey rounded the corner!!

EXHAUSTED!!

Carey said that when they rounded the first corner, Bryson decided that she was exhausted and had to walk. Half way through the mile, Bryson decided that she could not go any further.....until......Carey told her to turn around and look behind her. Once she saw that she was ahead of a lot of people, she took off running and finished the race!!!

After the one mile, Uncle Carey ran the 5K!

At the awards ceremony, Blake came in 2nd for his age division!

Bryson came in 3rd for her age division!

And Uncle Carey came in 1st in his age division!! Bryson tried to convince him to trade trophies since his was bigger!!

Everyone came home happy with a trophy!! The 3 winners!!
