1 Year

This was Dad one year ago today. 

This is Dad today.  It is hard to believe that a year has gone by since he has been in his own home.  A year ago, I would have never thought that he would be here today.  A year with a child goes by in the blink of an eye, but with a sick parent, it seems to drag on and on.  Dad is happy and is well taken care of.  He has lost a lot of weight in a year but still has a great smile and laugh.  We still have some good times and are able to laugh as well as cry.  I am so thankful for a place like Spanish Oaks that treats all of us like family.

Blake got in trouble last night for his "mouth."  This was on his door this morning!  When he starts paying rent, I will make an appointment!

Tybee Island 2011

We spent this past week at Tybrisa at Tybee.  We had a lot of fun at the beach and the pool.  Brett really enjoyed the beach and Blake and Bryson wore themselves out riding waves and finding all kinds of shells!  One thing about the beach is....naptimes are really good!  We sure missed Dad while we were there.  He loved the beach!
